Shipping and Receiving/ Truck Driver are cross-trained in varying position in order to maintain product integrity from incoming, receiving and storage.
Shipping and Receiving/ Truck Driver transports, pick-up and handle products/materials, between our three locations, customers and various vendors in a timely manner. May load and unload vehicles as required. Reports other vehicle malfunctions to management to schedule repairs and maintenance.
This position will work as part of a team toward our company goal of producing safe quality food.
Shipping and Receiving Truck Driver responsibilities may include and are not limited to:
* The ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
* May operate Hi-lo or use pallet jack to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
* Obtain or have possession of a Class B CDL driver’s license with Air Brake endorsement.
* Safely Transport and deliver products/materials depending on the company’s needs.
* Operate Process Pro handheld device for scanning loads and transfer of product between plants.
* Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures
* Complete all assigned paperwork.
* Practice Good Manufacturing Practices in order to ensure the quality and integrity of product by providing quality training and enforcing GMP’s at all times.
* Communicate effectively with department, plant and company personnel to ensure smooth operation of the process.
* Document temperatures of incoming goods. Also, monitor temperatures of the refrigerator and freezers.
* Do daily truck inspections before use notifying supervisor of any conditions that need to be addressed.
* Know how to store and stack in freezers and racking systems
* Know how to pull product (raw or frozen) by FIFO
