Dow Corning's Summer Employment for Employee Dependents (SEED) is a program that allows dependents of Dow Corning and Hemlock Semiconductor Group employees to participate in employment opportunities at the site where their parent is employed. Required Qualifications: 1. Must be a dependent of an active Dow Corning or Hemlock Semiconductor Group employee. 2. Must be at least 18 years of age by May 1, 2016. 3. Midland Plant Only: Must have completed first year of college and enrolled in their second year. 4. Must attach a copy of your current unofficial transcript or college acceptance letter to the documents section of the application. 5. Proof upon hire of unrestricted U.S. employment authorization. Employment based visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 6. Must be available for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer
Job Duties will vary by site, but may include: • General maintenance • Lawn care • Packaging • Painting • Clerical/Administrative work
Environmental Elements: Maybe required to: • Work in heat for long periods of time • May stand for up to 8 hours • Lift up to 50 pounds • Operate machinery • Paint and exposure to paint fumes
Screening Requirements: Drug Screen, Criminal Background Check, Physical Agility Test
