Sanitation Technician - Food Manufacturer

Job Summary: Grand Rapids food manufacturing company is seeking a Sanitation Technician to perform sanitation of its facilities and line equipment as well as safety of all its products. Selected applicant will be completing sanitation duties such as cleaning out machinery, emptying scrap and recycling barrels, hosing down floors, etc. and is responsible for planning, directing and controlling all sanitation activities of the production line, building and grounds. This is an evaluation hire position. The pay range is $10.00- $13.00 an hour; the company offers excellent benefits upon hire in.

Schedule: 3rd Shift
Qualifications:Qualified candidates will have a Food or GMP compliant Sanitation back ground. This person should be able to manage self and daily work schedule while maintain all safety and cleaning records and performing all task related to sanitizing machinery and equipment. Candidates must possess a minimum of 1 year experience in the sanitation industry, preferably in the food industry. Candidates must be dependable, self-directed, motivated to exceed standards, possess knowledge of GMPs, be detail oriented, and organized. Bilingual a plus but not required. This position requires flexibility to work on various shifts dependent upon business flow. National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) preferred, but not required.
