Job Description:
Dematic has a need for a Sales Manager at our corporate office in Grand Rapids, MI in the Customer Service team. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in a sales leadership role in the Material Handling industry. This key role will report to the Vice President of Customer Service Sales in North America.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Problem Solving, Critical Thinking):
Implements overall Dematic strategic plan for Customer Service Sales. Designs objectives and manages the CS sales efforts. Makes final decisions on administrative and operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives. Identifies resource needs and develops justification.
Job Family Responsibilities:
Guides the overall operation of large or multiple units and/or sales channels to ensure achievement of goals and objectives directly or through subordinate staff. Guides sales efforts of units Account Representatives to meet and exceed sales revenue, profit, and/or expense objectives for direct and/or channel sales. Guides brand strategy to meet or exceed objectives established for each brand. Guides sales efforts of sales support engineers, account representatives, and administrative personnel. Develops growth forecasts for entire business unit and/or sales channels to ensure the highest level of service. Guides the performance management process for subordinate staff. Guides the development of strategic plans to penetrate accounts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Successfully defines work flows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness. Area of responsibility is primarily tactical/operational in nature, with limited strategic impact. Develops and manages departmental budgets and/or business plans for a small to mid-size department or business unit. Typical responsibility for innovation is to continuously enhance or improve existing policies, products, and methods. Identifies resource needs and develops justification. Troubleshoots and resolves very complex problems. Recommends/ determines organizational structures and supervisory relationships for own segment of company. Responsible for overall success of function or project.
