SUMMARY:
Management Business Solutions (MBS) is actively seeking a Marketing Coordinator in Grand Rapids, MI for our client in the manufacturing industry. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining communication channels for multiple different areas of the business as well as customers and sales. This positions works with two different marketing teams to implement product promotions, communications activities, as well as support trade show activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop product promotions with strategic direction; this requires regular participation in planning meetings, being knowledgeable about products and assessing market issues in order to identify marketing needs and create appropriate programs and tools.
- Assist with product launch activities guided by managers
- Direct creation of all communications activities, including advertisements, customer communications and digital marketing, social media tools and literature
- Assist with planning and execution of all company tradeshows
- Maintain company website as well as other outreach programs
- Conduct creative research using trade publications and industry leading design publications as resources for eye catching designs, formats and trends
- Answer general questions from customers, customer service, field sales, dealers and other departments concerning product issues
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or public relations required
- Three to five years of work experience in marketing and communications required
- Extended work hours frequently required. Overnight work schedule is occasionally required
- Knowledge of advertising and communications copyrighting required
- Knowledge of printing/production process required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software required. Adobe and Photoshop are preferred
- Experience completing multiple projects within tight deadlines and budgets required
- Working knowledge of different social media platforms
- Travel up to 50% may be required
