About the Role
This role involves circuit design, PCB layout, system integration, and basic mechanical design, including GD&T with engineering support. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to take products from concept to production, focusing on performance, safety, and reliability. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about building high-quality tools that advance research and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and testing electrical circuits for new products or systems, ensuring they meet safety and functionality standards.
- Designing electrical and mechanical systems for machinery, considering efficiency, cost, and safety.
- Using computer-aided design (CAD) software to design and simulate mechanical and electrical systems.
- Choosing mechanical and electrical components based on project specifications.
- Building and testing prototypes of systems or devices to evaluate performance and identify potential issues.
- Identifying and resolving electrical issues during development or in existing systems.
- Using simulation software to predict how electrical systems will perform under different conditions.
- Working with other engineers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure a smooth workflow and alignment on project goals.
- Maintaining clear and accurate documentation of design specifications, test results, and updates.
- Diagnosing and fixing electrical failures or malfunctions in equipment or systems.
- Recommending and implementing system upgrades to improve efficiency, performance, and safety.
- Ensuring designs and installations comply with local, national, and international electrical codes and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NEC).
- Researching emerging technologies in fields like robotics, automation, renewable energy, or telecommunications.
- Working on improving existing products by developing new methods, materials, or technologies.
- Offering post-installation support for troubleshooting or system upgrades.
- Keeping up with the latest technological advancements, standards, and best practices in electrical engineering.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited university.
- Five years of experience in a related field preferred. Two years of experience with AutoCAD inventor or related software preferred.
- Able to foster good team dynamics, collaboration, and to be flexible implementing daily work.
- Possesses exceptional organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task proficiently.
- Exhibits a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Follows all standard operating procedures and policies established by the company.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments and provide clear training and support.
- Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time.
