We have an immediate opening for an Interiors Engineer who is motivated by variety and change, and who actively enjoys new and unplanned experiences. You must show a capacity to quickly assimilate and understand the implications of new developments and be ready to respond appropriately to situations as they evolve. As an Interiors Engineer, you will need to adapt to our customers’ expectations and have the aptitude for understanding their detailed and exact requirements. Expect to work on various programs in automotive, aerospace, military and industrial equipment. The position is located in Allen Park, Michigan.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSME is preferred)
Minimum two years of experience as an Interiors Engineer with an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier
Experience with design & development with any of the following: Full Interiors, Instrument Panels, Door Trim, Center Consoles, Side Garnish Moldings, Overhead Systems and Headliners.
Familiar with Injection Molding and Thermo Forming EDD and manufacturing requirements and processes
Experience with development and maintenance of DVP&Rs / FMEAs
Hands-on troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Must be an effective Interiors Engineer with the ability to work within a cross-functional team
Must be able to act as liaison with design studio, program team, and other departments for all design responsible parts
Strong communication and presentation skills
Must be motivated and adaptable
