REQUIRED SKILLS:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Health Care, Information Systems, Statistics or other related field is required. Master's Degree in related field preferred.
* Four (4) or more years of experience in related field required.
* Strong communication skills are required to understand, interpret, and communicate ideas.
* Strong knowledge and use of existing software packages (Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc).
* Strong working knowledge of data languages such as SAS or SQL and reporting tools, such as, Cognos, Web-Focus, Tableau, etc.
* Working knowledge of data modeling, data mapping and data visualization.
* Strong analytical, organizational, planning and problem solving skills.
* Ability to effectively interface with employees at all levels.
* Understand and apply statistical inference.
* Understand the connection of EHR capability and the value it can drive where Quality and Revenue programs are concerned (e.g., MA Stars, QRS, NCQA Accreditation, Risk Adjustment, etc.).
* Understand the technical concepts behind EHRs and data exchange requirements.
* Proven skills in developing / supporting EHR standard electronic data systems and formats; data exchanges; audit processes.
* Knowledge of healthcare terminology, plan/benefit design, fundamental operational principles and administrative claims data including standard coding schemes, such as, ICD - 9/10 and HCPCS.
* Excellent professional demeanor.
