Position Overview:
Champion Business Unit Materials and Logistics Management activities with the opportunity to positively impact the financial position and future of the company. Manage the day to day activities of the complete supply chain while developing and employing Lean Techniques and Quality initiatives to continuously improve the overall performance of the Business Unit and Team.
Functions:
* Monitor customer inventory levels and monitor inventory levels on all parts needed in plant to ensure there is no downtime, manage inventory accuracy including cycle counts, on-hand reports, perpetual inventory reports, scrap reports,
* Champion cost reduction and PGC efforts related to material and logistics
* Responsible for outside supplier inventory accuracy, perform physical inventories on a regular basis
* Review, update and approve all production schedules- ensuring optimal yield, productivity and efficiency
* Create shipping schedule to maintain a min/max level of inventory on floor
* Monitor service and shipments to ensure a sufficient amount of material and that all shipments have been made on a timely basis in alignment with customer requirements.
* Manage suppliers for on time delivery with proper quantities
* Develops and refines work procedures.
* Observes work practices to assure that procedures are followed, providing corrective feedback as appropriate.
* Inspects workplace for problems and takes corrective actions as needed.
* Improves processes by involving workers in systematically reducing problems in their jobs.
* Models good habits by following procedures, considers good practices when making decisions and schedules.
* Conducts team meetings.
* Secures and maintains a clean and safe work environment in alignment with 5s principles.
* Suggests continuous improvements in work methods and procedures.
* Recommends or implements measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
* Oversees, coordinates, motivates, and coaches employees

* Familiar with general materials, manufacturing processes, procedures and related tolerances for product offering.
* Ability to successfully function in a matrix style of management.
* Excellent organizational and follow-up skills; competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making; and shows aggressiveness when completing assignments and other responsibilities.
* Understanding of financial analysis concepts and budget management.
