SUMMARY:
The Supplier Quality Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and entry of all incoming customer documents within a manufacturing plant in Grand Rapids, MI. The successful candidate will perform various order management functions including order entry, purchasing, and expediting. This role will also manage the supplier list and document vendor performance.
JOB DUTIES:
- Verify accuracy of incoming customer specifications and resolving customer issues.
- Maintain material masters and registers
- Utilize SAP to set up new ingredient and packaging materials.
- Review incoming bill of material for accuracy.
- Create set-up sheets for facility use.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times.
- Comply with all safety, health and environmental regulations as prescribed by law.
- Follow up with customers to resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate customer documents and filing system
- May be required to work weekends from time to time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Data Entry
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- High computer application literacy including Microsoft Office Suite, SAP a plus
- Excellent keyboarding, record keeping and follow-up skills
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Must be accurate and detail-oriented
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), SQF all pluses
