Supervises: Ensures compliance with established organizational standards. Oversees day to day operations of the unit. Reviews and evaluates the work and performance of reporting employees. Has significant input regarding hiring and disciplining employees.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
Responsibility of running day-to-day maintenance for the plant. This includes assigning work orders to maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with documented procedures, driving continuous improvement and professional development of the maintenance staff. Responsible for staffing changes required to provide production coverage and reduce unplanned failures on production and facility equipment.
- Oversees work performed by outside contractors as necessary.
- Keeps related records and charts trends.
- Ensures departmental compliance with company policies, including safety regulations.
- Assists in managing building expansion projects.
- Schedules and performs preventative maintenance checks and keeps related records.
- Aids in troubleshooting problems with machinery and equipment.
- Trains, directs, develops, supervises and evaluates subordinates.
- Member of the Diversified Machine Inc. Emergency Action team and Safety Committee.
- Ensures the upkeep of exterior of building and/or yards (oversees contractual agreements related to the exterior).
- Ensures compliance of Environmental standards.
- Performs special assignments as delegated.
- Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the supervisor.
- Complies with the following OSHA Safety Standards: Hazard Communication; Bloodborne Pathogens; Lockout; Permit Required Confined Space; Hot Work Permit; Powered Industrial Trucks; P.P.E. and Ergonomics.
- When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job.
- Directs and completes all emergency repairs of plant equipment in entire plant.
- Directs and completes all preventative maintenance work orders in entire plant.
- Manages installatoin of new Machines also relocation of old machines.
