SUMMARY:
Assist with the fabrication, construction, and rebuild of machinery and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work process.
- Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools.
- Perform minor electrical and mechanical repairs and troubleshooting on production equipment.
- Interact with engineering, operations support and product development to troubleshoot and ensure machinery and equipment are working properly.
- Document procedures on new jobs or rebuilds for filing in permanent record.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-1 years experience in machine repair
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Valid Chauffeur's License
- Mathematical and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read drawings/blueprints
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and all parts of machine repair
- Torches, mig and tig welding, ARC and fabrications applications experience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Proven attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated safety consciousness
