DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
There is an opportunity for a Product Development Engineer to work in the climate control department within the Body Interior Organization leading the design and implementation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning parts and systems
Position Duties:
* Lead engineering design and release of automotive heating, ventilation, and air conditioning components and subsystems.
* Lead quality improvement actions for vehicle platform climate systems.
* Manage program milestone deliverables for new model programs.
* Complete component and subsystem test deliverables and document compliance to requirements.
* Provide as-needed support for vehicle builds.
* Identify cost reductions on current vehicles and opportunities on new model components.
* Capture lessons learned and develop test plans and updates to requirements and specifications.
* Conduct data driven problem solving.
* Support resolution of manufacturing identified issues.
* Monitor supplier quality metrics and complete projects for quality improvements.
