The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to select students with high potential and provide them with "real world" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company’s products, processes, procedures, problems, resources, staff areas and people so that they become aware of the career opportunities at Nexteer Automotive. Assignments are deigned to assimilate acquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. In addition, Nexteer Automotive gains the opportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity. Job Requirements:
Full time student at SVSU, U of M - Flint, studying Computer Science or Computer Informations Systems
Ability to work 20 - 28 hours per week during the school year
Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Job Description:
Student will assist with deploying and testing QAD equipment under the management and guidance of QAD's Data Collection Team. The equipment will be distributed according to a schedule set forth by the team. The student will be working within the plants and would need to be able to lift equipment that weighs approximately 60 pounds from a cart/dolly to its final location on furniture within the plant.
We ask that the student be able to work some weekends, notably the 30th and 31st of January to support February 1st Go-Live Date.
This is a short-term internship, we're looking for a Student to work from Mid-October to Mid-February.
Special Skills Requirements: Networking knowledge, Technical troubleshooting skills.
