Job Description:
Dematic is seeking candidates with 1-3 years of relevant consulting and/or strategy experience to join our company as a Business Analyst.
This position is an integral part of the Dematic’s Market Development team and participate in all aspects of project work including, but not limited to, conducting primary and secondary company and market research, analyzing data, summarizing findings, developing presentations, and managing project logistics. Successful candidates will have a strong desire to take on additional responsibilities, including presentation of findings to clients, management of individual work streams, and involvement in firm-building activities. This position comes with significant opportunities for professional development, as Business Analysts work closely with senior staff.
Job Family Responsibilities: Participates in performing semi-complex analysis of business goals, objectives and needs of the general business environment and may create semi-complex functional and technical specifications and flowcharts. Participates in the semi-complex planning and design of business processes and systems. Participates in recommending semi-complex changes to improve and support business activities. May participate in facilitation of semi-complex business case development (planning and initiation, responding to budget/plan changes, participate in ad hoc planning requests and evaluations.
Key Responsibilities: Performs important areas of standard professional level work that typically requires processing and interpreting, more complex, less clearly-defined issues. Refers semi-complex, unusual problems to others. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly-defined problems.
Education: Typically BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree. Certification may be required in some areas.
Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrates a good grasp of knowledge and principles of field of specialization and applies through successful completion of assignments. Successfully applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Typically 5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
Direction of Others: May provide general guidance or train lower level support staff.
Key Working Relationships: Primarily intra-organizational contacts and some external contacts.
