IRON CO CENTRAL DISPATCH is seeking qualified applications for a part-time Emergency 911 Dispatcher.
Applicants must have strong listening and multi-tasking skills together with the ability to communicate effectively. Applicants should possess basic grammar and spelling skills.
Candidates must be able to quickly and accurately analyze fast moving information and rapidly formulate effective responses to emergency situations all while operating multiple computer and communications systems. Central Dispatch is 24/7 365 agency and this position requires employees to work various shifts, including nights, days, evenings, weekends and holidays; often on short notice.
This position answers 911/public safety emergencies and administrative calls and notifies the appropriate emergency response agency (POLICE FIRE EMS) based on type of services necessary and location. This position also provides criminal justice and Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) records management services to ALL city and county law enforcement and court agencies that require 24/7 365 monitoring. Candidates will be required to complete a comprehensive dispatcher training program, Basic LEIN and Security Awareness Training.
Dispatch experience is helpful but not required.
