Commercial Loan Assistant 

LOCATION:                   Clyde Park 

STATUS:                       Full Time (Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

POSITION SUMMARY:   

• Assists and supports the Commercial Lenders in the administration and management of their individual commercial loan portfolios.   
• Coordinates the preparation of required loan documentation via the Centralized documentation department. 
• Reviews credit approval and preliminary loan documents for completeness and accuracy prior to loan closing.  Completes funding of the loan and assures all the required documents have been received following loan closing and prior to booking. 
• Maintains knowledge of current lending policies, procedures and regulations. 
• Maintains credit files by keeping information confidential, organized and up to date.   
• Assists in clearing insurance and financial statement exceptions in order to meet department goals.
•  Monitors daily overdrafts and refers to Commercial Lender for decision. 
• Serves a “first point of contact” for commercial customers; primary contact for all customer service issues.
•  Assists customers with draws, transfers, wires, and loan payments with appropriate authorization.
• Coordinates and/or completes special projects requested by the Commercial Lenders or Senior Management. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Three to five years in-depth knowledge and experience in Commercial Lending  
• Strong working knowledge of lending policies, procedures and documentation 
• Basic knowledge of mortgages, title work, trust documents, UCC filings and vehicle liens. 
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication(both written and oral), customer service and telephone etiquette skills. 
• Able to work efficiently in a team environment 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions 
• Ability to handle detailed-orientated transactions with great accuracy. 
• Requires functional level of computer proficiency
