Service Center Specialist

In this specialized position you will grow professionally by expanding your banking knowledge and enhancing your customer service, problem resolution, and cross-selling skills. You will be joining a team of professional associates who are passionate about and understand the importance of their role in retaining and expanding Macatawa customer relationships.

Responsibilities:
- Answer a high volume of incoming calls, with a “smile” in your voice, from internal and external customers with a wide variety of service needs, inquires, and/or concerns.
- Take the necessary time with each customer call to resolve their issues in a complete and satisfactory manner. Macatawa Bank does not issue time penalties. Each call is expected to be handled with the utmost customer service.
- Maintain a professional upbeat demeanor
- Turn customer’s frustration into satisfaction
- Make sound decisions in all circumstances while maintaining a balance of what is good for the customer and what is right for the bank
- Be timely and demonstrate excellent follow through
- Continually develop knowledge of Macatawa products and services
Additional Information:
- All schedules will occur during our call center hours. Our call center is open from Monday through Friday from 8:00AM-6:00PM and Saturday from 8:00AM-2:00PM.
- Paid in-department training
- Progressive training to advance in the role is provided along with step compensation for achieving mastery at each level.
What we require of candidates:
- Demonstrated job stability and dependability
- Proven ability to create an exceptional customer service experience
- High school diploma
- 1-3 years specific customer service experience
