Job Description:
Dematic has an immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer for our R&D Group to work out of our corporate office in Grand Rapids, MI. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a challenging environment with newer technologies and innovations! The successful candidates will have 8 or more years of experience in advanced mechanical design. This position will be required to perform the following duties:
Job Family Responsibilities:
* Advanced design of mechanical systems for heavy industries, robotics, etc.
* Completes recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.
* Performs complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design.
* Coordinates and engineers multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Know and apply the mechanical aspects of an Integrated System, performing stress and vibration analysis.
* Correspond with customers to coordinate what their needs are and how our systems fit those needs.
* Travel is approximately 10%.
