Seeking experienced Laser Technician
Qualified candidates must have a minimum high school diploma, an understanding of mechanical drawings such as blueprints and be able to use common tools to ensure efficiency and correct operation of the machine. At least 2-3 years related experience required.
Responsibilities
- Operate laser as directed
- Adhere to company procedures (Abide to first piece protocol and complete all data entry)
- Record start and stop times on each task as completed
- Record quantity received, quantity completed and quantity scrapped on a daily basis
- Work to support supervisors and general daily operations
- Keep all equipment and tools in good working order, plus present and accounted for
- Meet production schedule
- All associated quality of product used and produced
- Cleanliness and organization of assigned area
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Make sure all Daily Start up check lists are completed
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate a fiber optic laser to cut and fabricate parts
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and any trouble shooting required
- Monitor machines performance
- Candidates should have a good understanding of different materials types and thicknesses
- Employees should be willing to assist with other tasks throughout the shop floor including break out, operating a fork lift, etc.
- Inspect parts for inaccuracies or complications and discuss any issues with supervisor or manufacturing engineer
- Responsible for handling material at work station and maintaining a clean working station
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience as a laser operator or a candidate with a high mechanical aptitude preferred
