3rd Shift Position, 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM M-F.
The primary function of this role will require a highly motivated and hands-on individual to test both prototype and production products for aerospace applications. The individual will design, assemble and conduct tests to develop products and be responsible for all engineering details associated with testing to fulfill customer obligations while maintaining the highest levels of safety.
Essential Functions:
• Guide and perform test development, instrumentation, setup, execution and data analysis of highly specialized tests
• Provide technical advice and direction in the design, fabrication and instrumentation of test fixtures
• Select test methods and use of special equipment
• Provide insight and status of test performance
• Manages and coordinates test schedules
• Summarizes, analyzes test results and recommend next steps
• Documents test results in engineering reports
• Interfaces with internal and external customers and project teams
• Supports machine and process safeguarding
• Guide the safe utilization of test equipment ensuring safe operation
• Utilize effective data acquisition mythologies to safeguard the integrity of the data
Maintain calibration of test equipment
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited institution.
• 1-3 years experience in mechanical design using Catia V5
• Knowledge of test equipment operation, machine hydraulics, data acquisition and inspection equipment.
• A high degree of mechanical aptitude.
• A broad knowledge of test machines and instruments.
• General knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Print reading and dimensional inspection capability.
• Effective use of current technology and the learning and application of new technology.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with PC-based control systems.
• Prior knowledge with measurement / data acquisition systems, instrumentation wiring and documentation.
