Tool Room Manager
We are currently partnering with the Grand Rapids branch of a global stamping firm in their search for an experienced toolmaker for a Tool Room Manager role. This position will primarily be responsible for managing the workloads, timelines, etc. of the already skilled and productive team. This position is full-time, direct-hire, and not with Disher Design & Development.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide direction to a growing team, assuring all workloads are managed effectively, and timelines and quality standards are met.
- Examines and interprets data to understand current processes, to plan and execute process improvements and install new systems and processes.
- Develops and maintains the process standards for the building of tools and continually improves the quality of the tools produced.
- Works collaboratively with team to determine best practices for building of tools and to solve issues.
- Reviews production and operating records and resolves technical processing issues.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Tool and Die in the state of Michigan required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in tool and die, 10 or more years preferred.
- Previous management or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in a customer focused environment.
- Previous experience in a stamping company is a plus, but not required.
