System Requirements Engineer - Embedded

Our engineering team is highly technical and diversified, serving in a variety of markets including automotive, office furniture, alternative energy, and medical. Our capabilities span from napkin through launch, providing numerous opportunities for us to partner with clients in product and process development, as well as in Talent identification and attraction.
We are currently partnering with a customer in West Michigan in their search for a System Requirements Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, analyze, and develop requirements that accurately represent the intended purpose of the product to facilitate higher quality implementation and testing.
- Analyze customer and internal product and process specifications
- Work across disciplinary boundaries identifying requirements to be allocated to the product
- Identify, create, capture and manage requirements. Analyze and review documented requirements to make sure they meet company guidelines.
- Assist in negotiating content of requirements with customers to ensure technical feasibility
- Assist in negotiating priority of requirements with customers to ensure schedule and resource feasibility
- Document and communicate changes, and problems.
- Work with internal customers to develop embedded requirements for products
- Understand, utilize and improve upon internal processes and tools for requirements development
Requirements:
- Minimum of a four year degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred
- Experience with requirement development, management, methodologies and tools required; DOORS preferred
- Prefer at least 5 years experience in embedded product development
- Demonstrate excellent writing and communication skills
- Must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States of America for any employer without restrictions or any expirations.
