Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Shop Foreman for a permanent opening for an ornamental/miscellaneous Metals Sub-contractor. You will oversee and direct the activities of fabrication and assembly of architectural, miscellaneous, and sheet metal products. The company provides plate/sheet metal shearing, rolling, forming, water jet cutting, rolling of structural shapes, welding and material finishing for other industries and manufacturers. They also complete installation services for their custom made products.
Responsibilities:
- Manage shop fabrication team
- Oversee the fabrication process
- Plan and establish work schedules
- Maintain data such as production time reports and production methods, equipment performance, and production quality
- Interpret detailed drawings specifications, shop blueprints, and job orders
Qualifications include:
- 5 years of experience as a shop floor foreman
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, blueprints, measurement tools, metal working machinery operations and Standards of the American Welding Society (AWS) required
- Prior experience in a leadership role within a metal fabrication shop environment.
- Experience in the fabrication of ornamental and miscellaneous metals
- Excellent people management skills
