Certified Nursing Assistant:
The Certified Nursing Assistant / Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. The nursing assistant is responsible for observing clients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed. The Certified Nursing Assistant / Caregiver will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a client’s care.
Registered Nurse:
BrightStar Care of Grosse Pointe / Macomb seeks to staff a Registered Nurse for private duty home care. Contingent shift work will include National Accounts skilled nursing visits scheduled at your convenience. Additional contingent skilled nursing shift work may also be available. Great opportunity for patient education, wellness and flu clinics, and skilled nursing care. Staff nurses report to our Clinical Director and work closely with our LPN Customer Care Manager. They are responsible for the quality and adequacy of services provided and may, where required, supervise staff. They will maintain complete, timely and organized nursing notes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides care as defined within the scope of the state’s nurse practice act
* May make the initial evaluation visit and regularly reevaluates the client’s nursing needs
* Provides services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill
* Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures
* Maintains and submits complete, timely and organized clinical and progress notes
* Informs the Clinical Director, physician and other personnel of changes in the patient’s condition and needs
* Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs
* Assists in the development of organization goals
* Administers agency policies and procedures
* Supervises, educates and coaches other nursing personnel, as directed by the Clinical Director
* Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws
* Assures compliance with all local, state and federal laws
* Identifies and participates in agency performance improvement activities
* Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and home health care. Shares information with appropriate organization personnel
Promotes home health referrals in the health care community
