Job Description:
Staff Manager Electronic Systems and Software
Reporting to the Director of Systems & Electronic Systems this role is responsible to lead and direct activities for embedded electronics encompassing:-
· Software Engineering
· Functional Test
· Electrical Systems Design and Architecture
· Electronic Design & ASIC Design and specification
· Microprocessor Architecture and selection
Key job requirements are:-
Ability to provide technical direction to broad based electronics organization in a safety related electronics product area.
Lead development of Electronic designs and ASIC specifications approving internal and external work products
Deep understanding of electronic systems and how various components interact and are specified to create a successful optimized safe product to help guide a capable team
Be a capable leader & coach for a highly capable engineering organization extending levels of engagement in a challenging global environment
Develop and improve processes to maximize product launch performance built on appropriate and efficient processes and tools working closely with regions and OEM’s to achieve alignment
Specifically develop and coach engineering managers to help them develop and maximize group potential and launch effectiveness
Drive innovation in conjunction with and in support of our advanced engineering organization.
Ensure hiring plans and staff development needs are aligned and achieve performance goals and meet the engineering budget for each financial year.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in design/development of electrical systems in hardware and/or software with a balance of experience with software and hardware design
- High levels of energy, passion and highly developed coaching style
- Working knowledge of ISO26262, AutoSPICE and AUTOSAR
- BSEE or equivalent required, MSC would be an added advantage if in the area of electronic systems
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of electronics and embedded microcontrollers
- Proficient with Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Ability to lead high capability teams and work across functional groups
