Job Description:
Dematic Corp. has an immediate need for a Robotics Automation Mechatronics Engineer at our office in Grand Rapids, MI.
Key Responsibilities:
* Primary focus will be the
a) Mechanical design and layout of robotic piece-picking work cells
b) Mechanical design and layout of palletizing and de-palletizing systems
c) Design and layout of additional material handling applications
Design responsibilities will include:
* Layout of cells
* Design of risers
* Design of fixtures
* Design of End of Arm Tooling (EOAT)
* Procurement of tooling
* Provide detailed new equipment testing and acceptance specifications when required to support the procurement of new tools or improvement of existing tools
* Drive activities related to ensuring new equipment is built to specification
* Thoroughly characterize and document the base line performance and capability of each system and drive actions to maintain system performance to the documented base line
* Provide technical support for electrical controls, robotic programming, vision systems, and associated automation
* Assist in writing and maintaining effective maintenance specifications.
* Create training materials as well as conduct training of support personnel as required
