Job Description/Responsibilities
The Automation Test Lead is a critical role in the Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) and is responsible for all test automation as well as stress and performance testing. The Automation Test Lead is tasked with collaborating with project and support teams in order to identify automation needs, creating test plans, and designing and building automated solutions. Additionally, the Automation Test Lead will provide technical direction and support to team members on automation frameworks and all aspects of automated testing to ensure industry standards and best practices are followed. As such, the Automation Test Lead will promote new ideas and methods for quality improvements and ensure the value of automated testing is achieved.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing test automation and performance testing resources
- Ensure successful delivery of automation and performance testing services to project and support teams
- Assist in the definition and documentation of test strategies
- Review and approve automation and performance testing artifacts and/or deliverables
- Perform demand and resource management for automation and performance testing resources
- Ensuring transparency of testing efforts
Requirements/Qualification
- 3+ years of experience in automated testing
- Extensive experience in all aspects of performance testing using HP QuickTest Pro, Functional Tester, and Unified Functional Tester
- Conducting performance testing
- Experience in the following testing practices:
o Designing, building and executing automated testing frameworks and automation scripts
o Administrator and user experience with HP QuickTest Pro, Functional Tester, and Unified Functional Tester
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of associates in the organization
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting as well as independently with minimal error and guidance
The following skills and experience will set you apart from others:
- A bachelor*s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field is highly preferred
- Masters or other advanced degree, ideally in an IT or Business area
- Energy industry background that includes a working knowledge of effectively mapping technology to business challenges
This position will be located at the Jackson Commonwealth Commerce Center
Position will be filled at the appropriate salary grade based upon the skills, knowledge, and experience of the selected candidate
