The Job Recruiter will seek out recruiting sources and find applicants to meet the needs of GC Services Lansing and to meet government mandated requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Discusses personnel needs with management to prepare and implement recruitment program.
- Actively recruits with veteran, disabled. minority and female organizations
- Contacts colleges, civic and community organizations, to arrange on-site visits and interviews.
- Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants.
- Interview applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements.
- Screens, tests, interviews, and refers qualified applicants to Management.
- Performs background checks on applicants.
- Corresponds with job applicants to notify them of employment consideration.
- Files and maintains employment records for future references.
- Maintains equal employment opportunity data logs.
- Verifies an applicant’s eligibility to work in the United States based on INS standards and regulations.
- Performs various human resources responsibilities as assigned.
- Must have reliable transportation to network and find new ways of recruiting.
- Most of this job will be done outside of the office networking.
- Maintain concentration and focus in order to meet performance goals

Qualifications:
Ability to respond to common inquiries or concerns from applicants.
Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
Ability to project and convey a positive, concerned, and professional image to applicants, employees and outside agencies.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Two to Four Years of Related Experience
