Financial Analyst
Disher Design & Development is currently partnering with a manufacturing company on their search for a Financial Analyst in West Point, Georgia. The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting the Plant Controller in performing a variety of accounting functions related to financial analysis, cost accounting functions, month end financial closing and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and review time on a daily basis. Ensure that the time and attendance system is updated and maintained properly on a daily basis.
- Submit hourly and non-exempt payroll hours on a weekly basis to Corporate headquarters for payroll processing.
- Submit semi-monthly overtime to Corporate headquarters for payroll processing.
- Reconcile payroll reports to hours submission.
- Sort and distribute payroll checks.
- Prepare wage deductions.
- Process return material to suppliers.
- Process retro-billing as deemed necessary.
- Reconcile billing to Just-In-Time-Delivery System.
- Process tasks associated with Accounts Receivables including reconciliations and applying cash deposits.
- Update daily production sheets.
- Responsible for fixed assets in the facility.
- Assist in month-end financial closings.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in processing accounts payable.
- Perform other duties deemed necessary by the Cost Accountant and/or the Plant Controller.
- Perform work within the Company’s quality system.
- Has the authority to stop the production process if a quality or safety concern is noticed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing accounting areas.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Able to mathematically compute in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; and have the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Must be computer literate and familiar with appropriate software programs and able to create visual aids for communication purposes.
