Climate Control Attribute Engineer - 17237BR
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
There is an opportunity for a Product Development Engineer to work in the climate control department within the Body Interior Organization leading the system validation and testing of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning parts and systems in our vehicles.
Position Duties:
* Development of climate control refrigerant and air handling systems and their interactions with other vehicle subsystems
* Coordinate vehicle testing to support vehicle program timing milestones
* Plan and execute vehicle wind tunnel testing and supplier data analysis
* Plan and execute vehicle road trip testing and performance sign off analysis
* Work with powertrain to develop key parameters of the control module calibration as it relates to climate control
* Work with teams on noise, vibration, and harshness attribute as related to climate
* Work with electrical controls team on calibration development
* Understand and apply climate computer aided engineering (CAE) tools for air conditioning and heater simulations
* Ensure all the climate control comfort strategies are implemented in programs as applicable
* Conduct data driven problem solving.
* Direct supplier data analysis, assessments and report outs
* Document and incorporate lessons learned
