DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Functional Safety Engineer is responsible for applying the Ford Functional Safety standards and industry common practices to the development of new technologies. The engineer would lead the development, planning, and tracking of Functional Safety work products. In addition, they would support the Global Functional Safety Team in updates to the Functional Safety processes.
Position Duties
* Development of the corporate Functional Safety work products and analysis (including, but not limited to use cases, strategy, quality and verification work products) for new technologies
* Support in developing and maintaining a Safety Culture
* Support Functional Safety application with process and technical expertise
* Verify that the Ford Motor Company Functional Safety Process and Methods are used
* Support the management of the Functional Safety processes and methods
* Review and approve Functional Safety work products
