Job Summary:
Con-way Freight is seeking a sales team member that will be responsible create and maintain relationships with accounts, provide recommendations for profit growth within the port logistics segment. This position requires a highly motivated individual with relationship-building, selling, analytic thinking and has experience in creating out of the box strategies that help drive revenue and profit growth. This position location is negotiable.
Description of Essential Job Functions:
* Develops and implements comprehensive strategies for each account that ensures accomplishment of all required sales activity to include sales calls, service calls, proposal presentation, VIP trips, etc.
* Establishes relationships with senior officer levels within assigned accounts/region.
* Develops and maintains account intelligence system that records, stores and reports all sales activities, account information, marketplace and industry information.
* Create and recommend solutions that will create an integrated network of Con-way solutions with Import/Export operations.
* Identify opportunities where all Con-way companies can deliver solutions that add value and drive efficiencies within customer’s supply chain demands
* Directs the development and implementation of sales and marketing programs with assigned territories/accounts.
* Monitors product quality and customer satisfaction within assigned territories/accounts.
* Directs and/or executes problem resolution for all assigned accounts.
* To facilitate the interface with appropriate Con-way sales organizations to ensure understanding and effective application of the sales process and customer solutions.
* The incumbent(s) of this position is expected to perform all other related duties as assigned
