The Manufacturing Support / Paint position will be responsible for assisting various departments with both paint and cabinet assembly responsibilities.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Paint/Ship:
- Prepare chambers for painting by taping (using masking tape) critical surfaces not to be painted based on direction given in department.
- Apply prepared paints and lacquers to company products where high grade finishes are required.
- Mix paints, etc., to proper viscosity for spraying; fill spray tanks, adjust spray guns to obtain required finish textures, coverage and economy; adjust air spraying pressures.
- Visually inspect products for proper surface preparation, i.e. power wash, sanding, masking, etc., to insure the quality of the finished coatings.
- Be able to splatter texture finish.
- Perform sanding, cleaning, patching dents and creases, etc. when necessary.
- Maintain spray guns, equipment and booth in clean, operating and safe condition.
- Verify the parts to the work order to insure that all parts are accounted for.
- Assemble orders (if needed) before delivery to stock.
Cabinet:
- Drill and tap holes.
- Install insulation.
- Fit panels to chamber.
- Install and fit miscellaneous hardware, baffling, brackets and other components in and on the chamber.
- Assemble ports in chamber.
- Learn proper technique for assembling the chamber door.
- Learn proper techniques for applying gasket, setting liner, hanging chamber door and installing windows.
Prior experience with hand tools, mechanical assembly, and carpentry required. Prior experience in a paint booth preferred.
