This is a design and development opportunity for an individual interested in engineering OBD-II subsystems. This work is challenging because OBD-II is a regulatory requirement that is always changing.
Design, validate, and maintain on-board diagnostics (OBD-II) for engine controls. This is a design and development opportunity for an individual interested in engineering OBD-II subsystems. OBD-II is organized into major diagnostic monitors such adaptive fuel, catalyst, evaporative system, misfire, EGR/VCT, O2 sensors, and comprehensive components monitors. This work is challenging because OBD-II is a regulatory requirement that is always changing. Responsibilities include:
· Developing control system specifications to meet regulatory requirements
· Working in a hands-on environment to design and validate that diagnostic system hardware and software meet requirements
· Author calibration guidelines
· Support subsystem feature team meetings to present new concepts and resolve issues
