SUMMARY:
Safely operate small equipment such as hi-lo, forklift, sweeper, bob cat, skid steers and/or small loader to assist in loading, unloading, grading, inspecting, buying and transportation of materials. This position is for our Metals department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Safely operate hilo in a fast paced production setting.
• Unload, receive, buy and distribute materials. Load and ship outbound truck or railcar shipments.
• Assist in maintaining Warehouse organization.
• Prepare various documents and reports, basic data entry, use basic math skills, weigh packages, and perform material inspections for all loads.
• Perform required before, during, and after-operation "user maintenance" and complete and submit required reports.
• Distinguish between numerous grades and types of materials using basic identification tests according to company standards.
• Monitor equipment, troubleshoot and/or notify management of any malfunctions that occur.
• Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED required (2 year degree preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years experience operating a hilo preferred.
• Basic computer skills required (Word, Excel, and some type of MRP system experience preferred)
• Ability to excel in a fun, but fast paced and intense environment.
• Posses leadership skills, or have previous leadership experience.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Desire to work hard, and advance career.
