SUMMARY:
The Product Engineer will design, develop, validate, and launch new products for an automotive manufacturer. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated new grad or an experienced professional!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, validate, and launch new products for customers
- Interpret customer specifications to develop component level requirements
- Prepare engineering bill of materials and print packages for quoting
- Lead product design activities from concept through launch
- Create DFMEA and execute DVPR
- Professionally represent the company to customers and suppliers
- Work with purchasing team to identify, develop, and manage prototype & production component suppliers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization, both internal and external to the engineering department
- Previous experience as a product engineer in the automotive industry preferred
- Ability to travel as needed to plant locations in the Midwest
