Industrial Engineer - Global Labor Optimization Strategy - 16550BR
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position Duties:
The scope of responsibility includes the Asssembly, Powertrain and Stamping Plants across all regions.
* Ensure alignment with the Ford Production System and the generic organization.
* Develop and maintain detailed plans to execute the necessary actions and deliverables.
* Provide status on the actions and metrics to measure progress and/or help needed.
* Develop, implement and/or enhance standards in manufacturing cost savings methods, processes and practices. Develop and help implement enhanced policies, procedures and toolsets for Industrial Engineers to increase their productivity and effectiveness.
* Facilitate global buy-in and alignment in terms of labor optimization processes and standards.
* Monitor adoption of standards and processes of the Operating System to be created.
* Work with plant Industrial Engineering Managers to follow the Operating System processes and standards.
* Provide Operating System hands-on implementation and coaching to the different regions.
* Support the Global Labor Optimization team and the plants as needed.
* Collaborate and work closely with staff and/or plant personnel; Manufacturing Engineering, Forward Model Industrial Engineering, Controllers, Plant Managers, Human Resources Managers, and Unions from the different regions as needed.
