We are seeking to recruit a production assistant who directs, coordinates, plans and schedules activities of all production departments and manages all procurement activities for goods and services, raw material, manufacturing supplies, equipment and tooling to ensure on time delivery of quality products to our customers at the lowest possible cost.
Responsibilities to include:
Defines and maintains inventory management procedures and manages associated activities for incoming raw materials, in-process inventories, outside processing services, purchased components and finished goods inventories.
Runs MRP reports, evaluates accuracy and communicates and resolves discrepancies with other staff personnel as appropriate.
Prepares production schedules for all production departments based on review of MRP data and other internal and external customer requirements to maximize equipment utilization and keep adequate inventories to meet customer demands. Coordinates and prepares all related documents for proper communication to floor personnel and other staff members.
Establishes run rates, efficient allocation of resources and plant employee work schedules and coordination of continuous improvement activities.
Manages all procurements services to ensure that all related raw material, outside processing activities, sub-components and supplies are adequate to support the production schedule, are purchased at the lowest possible cost and meet all engineering specifications while keeping inventory at minimum levels.
Ensures accurate inventory data and coordinates periodic inventory checks as necessary.
Ensures that packaging specifications and labeling meet customer requirements.
Assist in shipping department when needed.
Processes all incoming orders and quotes
Enters part numbers in system
Provides customer service to clients, vendors, and/or customers.
Maintains customer files of active parts.
Maintains Finished Goods and Wire allocations.
Files correspondence and other records.
Maintains inventory accuracy through weekly cycle counts.
Maintains sample routings in the computer system and provides shop orders to respective departments.
Monitors parts that need outside processing and schedules with the shipping department required due dates.
Creates and distributes pick lists to the shipping department for daily shipments.
Creates and updates bill of ladings when necessary.
Qualified candidates will possess an Associate's degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school and least two years of related experience.
