Electrical Engineer-
Disher Design & Development is a full-service product development and engineering services firm in West Michigan. Our engineering team is highly technical and diversified, serving in a variety of markets including automotive, office furniture, alternative energy, and medical. Our capabilities span from napkin through launch, providing numerous opportunities for us to partner with clients in product and process development, as well as in talent identification and attraction.
We are currently partnering with a global, West Michigan manufacturer in their search for an Electrical Controls Engineer in foundries and die-castings. This is a full-time, direct hire position with benefits for a reputable global company.
Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical and controls program design and implementation.
- Build a comprehensive electrical design and support service to manufacturing.
- Design and programming of new products.
- Ability to design and troubleshoot line power electrical circuits and systems.
- Wire and install electrical components and build control panels.
- Strong understanding of electrical specifications and schematics.
- Creation of electrical BOM’s.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering.
- Approved training courses in program development for Allen Bradley SLC and ControLogix processors.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical control circuits.
- Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA79 standards.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to open and read dimensions from AutoCAD drawings.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally when necessary.
