On-site at Manufacturing Client
1 Direct and assist the assigned engineering manager with day to day problem solving on assigned engineering projects.
2 Support Customer engineering and design review meetings (Compatibility reviews, DMA, Digital Buck)
3 Responsible to facilitate JCI internal Design reviews (Utilizing the 10 step process for Black Box or tolerance review and sign-off for White Box)
4 Responsible to facilitate the creation of a layout drawing
5 Initiate the Creation of detail drawings as required by the OEM
6 Initiate the Creation of EPIC drawings for each part number
7 Interface with tooling and Manufacturing feasibility to resolve manufacturing issues and gain manufacturing signoff via the feasibility forms.
8 Complete the JCI Check sheets for product compliance on all components and assemblies as necessary.
9 Create and/or Update EBOM in EPIC and Release parts into EPIC
10 Manage change control through EPIC from initial release through 90 days post job 1.
11 Create and Maintain an Engineering tactical Plan that includes all engineering deliverables
12 Responsible to develop and maintain the DVP&R
13 Responsible to develop and maintain the DFMEA
14 DV/PV Testing completion (Write requests, follow the testing, Report results, etc.)
15 Responsible to Develop locating schemes and Create GD&T documents (Includes RSS stack up development)
16 Complete the Engineering Signoff Process (RSO / DSO / SSO)
17 Create IMDS Check list
18 Review RSM for proper material selection
19 Responsible to follow the JCI OK to Tool process
20 Support the builds at the customer assembly plants
21 Support first shots at tool shops
22 Support JCIM manufacturing plant builds through PPAP
23 Dimensional analysis at all part runs through PPAP (includes data analysis, disposition, resolution)
24 Complete all the engineering deliverables per the JCI PLUS Process
Qualifications: (Must Have's)
Strong people and communication skills.
Strong tactical planning and reporting skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Power Point, and Excel.
4 year engineering degree, mechanical preferably
Minimum of 4-5 years experience in Design and development of seat systems.
