Job Description:
Dematic has an immediate need for an IT Business Analyst in our Global Project Engineering & Installation Group, located in Grand Rapids, MI.
The alt title for this role will be Business Data Analyst, GPEI.
The main task of the Business Data Analyst is to collect, manipulate and analyze company data.
This person will prepare datasets and assist user in outputting in the form of visualizations such as graphs, charts and dashboards, detailing the significant results.
This person will help maintain the integrity of Dematic’s data, making sure that the data repositories produce consistent, reusable data.
This position will interact with both the technical data development team and the business user community to ensure that the business metrics and information is clear and consistent.
This position will execute these tasks in a technical and systematic way, using the standard formulas and methods as are common in the industry and relevant to the current data.
Key Responsibilities:
* Works with area managers to understand data sets that in use.
* Interacts with the Data Governance team to ensure data standards are established.
* Takes part in the development process for new data warehouse facts and dimensions.
* Defines data quality metrics and measures for the business.
* Creates ETL processes and business rules for integrating application level data.
* Ensures the data catalog and dictionary is maintained during the development process.
* Assist in internal software solutions that require the sharing or centralization of data.
* Supports and helps define data quality reports for data stewardship
* Assist in training internal data stewards on how to report and analyze data quality.
