Quality co-op duties: 1. Assist Local Quality Engineers with disposition of non-standard materials regarding determining action plans for scrap, rework or reuse of material. 2. Track product scrap, detailing reoccurring reason codes and trends 3. Assist with lab equipment maintenance, calibration and cleaning for satellite building labs. 4. Participate in a Lab Natural Work Group and assist with lab procedures. 5. Analyze and report monthly Metrics relating to quality issues and SPC trends 6. Assist with updates to Quality Notifications and SAP
Desired Skills include: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Awareness of Statistical Process Control, general laboratory practices Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills
Benefit: 1. Assist Quality Engineers with basic quality tasks. Provide timely response for damaged materials (MDT), allowing dispositions to be carried out prior to expiration of materials. 2. Opportunity to review trends across the site, not just building specific, bringing forward any potential reoccurring issues. 3. Consolidate handling of lab equipment and calibration practices/procedures for satellite labs 4. Assist with consistency between buildings 5. Allow time for Quality Engineers to focus on higher priority/longer term Quality Initiatives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must be currently enrolled in college and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher. Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours during both Fall and Winter semesters. Must live within commuting distance to the Midland site. Must upload most current transcript.
