An operational level of understanding of the LAN architecture and functionality is required to support the day-to-day operations. A good working relationship with site personnel, both information technology and general site, is essential for effective day-to-day LAN operations. Activities include the management, development, and maintenance of monitoring and escalation processes to resolve operational issues. Assists in corrective actions and ensures the general integrity of the application environment through monitoring processes.
From an administrative perspective: Supports departmental activities to ensure that site information technology personnel are effectively meeting site requirements. Activities would include departmental meeting coordination, procurement, and ensuring departmental compliance with site directives.
College student majoring in an IT field preferred, but not required, knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, word and excel needed. .Net and or Microsoft SQL knowledge a plus
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must be currently enrolled in college and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher. Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours during both Fall and Winter semesters. Must live within commuting distance to the Hemlock Semiconductor site. Must upload most current transcript.
