We are looking for a Sales Representative, Transplants. This position acts as the focal point for all sales activities at the Japanese OEM and German OEM and Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier levels. Make sales calls on key accounts to develop applications, gain content, and develop long-term relationships with key engineers and purchasing.
The team is ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. You'll first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Hiring Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gain understanding and be able to explain new business process at the Transplant OE and their Tier Ones.
Co-Develop/Support strategic sales plans designed to further grow the business at the tier customers and OE through new product development and core products.
Track content by car line of the existing business to report on a periodic basis net new business gains and losses within White Spaces.
Analyze and understand the competition and competitive products by application segment for the product markets and report on these changes.
Relays all relevant product and performance information to the Product Manager so product development efforts can be initiated.
Work with the lead market analysis to insure timely and accurate SAFE/SOPS data.
At times and when applicable, must work with a global team relative to global customer platforms. Both at OE and Tier One, to maximize Federal Mogul content and profitability.
When necessary and in support of the team, provide accurate and timely sales forecast, of your customers, to the organization participating in the annual AOP process.
Communicate the customer needs to the NA Business Manager, Transplants to ensure a smooth communication channel within the organization.
Required to correspond with the Japan Sales Team to ensure line to line, up to date communication.
Required Experience
EDUCATION: BS degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering preferred
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Sales experience with the Automotive Industry both at an OEM and Tier Level a must with at least one (3) year of experience in transplant/JOE sales
Experience working with strategic planning, product positioning, competitive analysis, and revenue improvement required
Must be proactive, innovative and a self starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels within the organization
Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to solve customer problems
Must be able to travel 45% of the time
Japanese language skills required
