Responsibilities:
- Answers telephones and greets visitors, handling routine inquiries and/or directing to appropriate staff.
- Assists with all accounting functions, including general ledger, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash disbursements, account balances, and cash flow monitoring.
- Assists with timely submission of agency reimbursement reports for grants and financial reports for board and staff, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Organizes computer and paper files, including file retention and backup of all computer files.
- Prepares new employee personnel files, processes new hire documents, and assists with administration of benefits as directed by Executive Director.
- Checks general delivery voice mail box and program emails and forwards to appropriate staff.
- Problem solve agency technology issues with staff, volunteers
- Maintain website and social media to ensure all information, campaigns, and publicity are updated in a timely manner.
- Maintains donor data base and maintains it for mailings, e-mail blasts, campaigns, and marketing with the direction of the Fund Development Coordinator.
- Oversees the acceptance and documentation of donations and development of donation reports and summaries.
- Assures donors are provided with acknowledgments and receipts of donations in a timely manner.
- Assists with community awareness, fundraising, and fund development activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and express facts and ideas effectively, orally, and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, agencies and volunteers.
- Excellent assessment and organizational skills.
- Ability to implement RAVE’s mission and philosophy in all program activities.
- Knowledge of office equipment.
- Knowledge of general accounting and bookkeeping practices
- Have working telephone, valid driver’s license, and reliable vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
Desirable Minimum Training and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent; has performed bookkeeping functions for a non-profit organization for minimum of two years, and experience with QuickBooks accounting software.
Salary: Between $20,800-24,000. Full benefits, flexible work schedule, and a generous paid time off structure.
