As Stamping Supervisor for a manufacturing facility that designs and constructs sophisticated metal forming tools and dies, your skills and talents must mirror the following:
~~Responsible for managing resources and personnel to meet stamping production schedules, productivity targets, quality targets and safety objectives. Assure a quality operation accomplished through an attitude towards continuous improvement.
Education
~~Associate’s degree (A. A.) from two-year college; or two to four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2-4 years previous Stamping Supervision experience.
~~Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to create and interpret graphs.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient on the computer, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Prior experience utilizing AS400 Database software and ability to create spreadsheets.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Responsible for an efficient, team driven, quality focused Stamping operation that promotes an attitude of continuous improvement, in the areas of cost, quality, delivery, and technology.
- Responsible to provide a safe work environment for all Stamping employees through organization, cleanliness and participative communication that assure compliance with State and Federal regulations regarding safety.
- Reviews production and quality metrics/statistics to plan and modify manufacturing activities within the Stamping department.
- Assists in the interviewing and selection of qualified personnel to fulfill the manufacturing needs of the Stamping department.
- Provides direction, education and training to insure the enforcement of company policies, practices and procedures.
- Assures an attitude of making schedules through predictive and preventative maintenance of equipment, machinery and tooling; precision product set-ups and changeovers; and the elimination of waste.
- Keeps Plant Superintendent informed of any issues of concern.
- Insure that company policies and procedures are adhered to including TS16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Assign and manage personnel and equipment resources to meet daily production requirements and shipments to customers. Directs and develops skills of Stamping Leader
- Responsible to drive team improvement and maintain communication between departments and shifts.
- Attends and participates in the Daily Production/Quality meetings as required.
- Assist and fill-in as needed for Weld/Assembly Supervisor.
