Seeking a Weld/Assembly 2nd Shift Supervisor for a top notch company in Belleville, MI
Responsibilities, Duties and Authority: (These duties cover only the more significant responsibilities, they are not meant to be all inclusive. Other duties may be given by the supervisor in addition to, or instead of, those listed here.)
Responsible for an efficient, team driven, quality focused Weld/Assembly operation that promotes an attitude of continuous improvement, in the areas of cost, quality, delivery, and technology.
Responsible to provide a safe work environment for all Weld/Assembly employees through organization, cleanliness and participative communication that assure compliance with State and Federal regulations regarding safety.
Reviews production and quality metrics/statistics to plan and modify manufacturing activities within the Weld/Assembly department.
Assists in the interviewing and selection of qualified personnel to fulfill the manufacturing needs of the Weld/Assembly department.
Provides direction, education and training to insure the enforcement of company policies, practices and procedures.
Assures an attitude of making schedules through predictive and preventative maintenance of equipment, machinery and tooling; precision product set-ups and changeovers; and the elimination of waste.
Keeps Plant Superintendent informed of any issues of concern.
Insure that company policies and procedures are adhered to including TS16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
Directs and develops Weld/Assembly Leader.
Assign and manage personnel and equipment resources to meet daily production requirements and shipments to customers.
Confirm that Daily Production Reporting is accurate and all employees are properly trained.
Maintain and continuously improve the organization and cleanliness of the facility.
