The incumbent will have an extensive direct OEM new sales and business development responsibilities. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing the growth initiatives focusing on ATA; PV Bonding; Electronics and new technologies directly to OEMs and its related Tier suppliers. The individual will collaborate with the appropriate LORD technology, operations, and management teams to execute the developed sales plan. Overnight travel is anticipated to be minimum 50%. The incumbent is responsible to develop and execute the OEM Pull/push Process at LORD. Principle responsibilities include: * Provide leadership and focus on the development and growth of the key technologies to various OEMs and Tiers. * Define, communicate and execute new sales development strategy that is aligned with the AIEA ten years outlook strategy.* Work internally with other functional groups to identify, evaluate and commercialize new products and technologies. * Develop and implement a sales business development plan by focusing on key growth areas. * Gather, communicate, and utilize market and competitive intelligenceMandatory Qualifications
* B.S. required, preferably in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or other Science * A minimum of 5 years experience in development new sales / customers and having direct customer contact * Collaborate in a team work environment and cultivate strong customer relationships. Ability to work with regional and global cross-functional key account teams. * Possess clear understanding of automotive OEM technology needs, and the ability to develop plans to successful meet their needs. * Possess good project management, organization, planning, and strong leadership skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills, addressing multiple programs, customers, issues, etc. * Ability to operate a vehicle; possess a valid driver's license and good driving record. * Computer proficient* Ability to travel with as little as 24 hours notice. * Previous experience in developing sales plans / tools and techniques * Experience with the automotive material qualification process as it relates to selling to the body shop closures and Tiers* A history of writing and executing sales plans
