Responsibilities:
- Supervises the Sales Department; including Account Managers, Program Managers, and Sales Administrators
- Serves as primary point of contact with corporate office for global sales activities
- Oversees interactions with customers with regards to their specific requirements (i.e. quotations, timing, specifications, testing, APQP, PPAP, PSW, PSO, ECR, work orders, etc.)
- Interfaces with customers on current and new business activities
- Coordinates with internal contacts in order to meet customer specific requirements (i.e. quotations, timing, specifications, testing, APQP, etc.)
- Communicates customer’s requirements to internal departments and manufacturer
- Prepares documentation in response to customer’s request (i.e. drawing, specifications, samples, quotations, APR proposals, VA/VE proposals, etc.)
- Supervise development and preparation of annual and mid-term sales budgets, as well as mid-year revisions
- Generation of monthly Sales Reports
- New product development and marketing
- Prepares presentation packages
- Conducts plant visits to investigate and observe customer claims, trial production, etc.
- Provides engineering services and technical support to the customer and sales representative (testing, analyzing and reporting)
- Some travel necessary
Education, Experience & Other Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree &/or equivalent relevant experience with OEM or Tier one suppliers
- At least 5-7 years in a Sales Supervisor / Manager role
- Japanese fluency required
- Experience/ familiarity with electrical components
- Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software and internet proficiency
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong customer focus
- Must be pro-active, organized, ability to multi-task
- Bachelors in Engineering preferred
